Skip to main content Toggle navigation Summer Camps Part of DawgBytes , UW CSE's K-12 outreach program | FAQ | Contact Dawgbytes 2019 Due to staffing changes and instructor availability, we will have limited camp offerings for 2019. Please see our alternate opportunities listed below our Camps and make sure you are signed up for our mailing list for special opportunities this summer and in the future. Our summer camps introduce middle and high school students to computer science and engineering topics in a fun, inclusive week of learning. Our camps run from 9am until 4pm from Monday - Friday. We provide lunch and snacks at no extra cost to the student. All camps take place in the Paul G. Allen Center for Computer Science and Engineering on the Seattle Campus of the University of Washington. Scholarships are available - students who qualify will be notified in their acceptance to the camp. Camp application will open on June 3, with a priority deadline of June 10. After that we will notify students of status of enrollment within a few days If spots remain open after June 10, the application will remain open until filled. Cost is $250, including a non-refundable $40 deposit. Scholarships available. Web Design Learn to create web pages and websites with themes and design that interest and appeal to your audience, present information using fonts and graphics that communicate without distracting, and develop usability and interactiveness with HTML, Java applets, and multimedia. Learn coding essentials without losing focus on the intent behind a well-designed and interesting website. For students entering grades 7, 8, and 9 in Fall 2019: July 22 - July 26, or July 29 - August 2 Apply Now Alternate opportunities We recognize that our camps do not meet everyone's needs. Here are alternate summer opportunities for K-12 students in the Puget Sound interested in computing: Please note that these are not associated with the Paul G. Allen School or DawgBytes, but are other programs in the region UW Summer Youth Programs : UW's Summer Youth Programs have camps in many STEM subjects, including CS Pacific Science Center camps : PacSci offers several computing-focused camps including some just for girls! Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program : Seven weeks of intensive instruction in robotics, web design, and mobile development with mentorship from female engineers in industry. Seattle Central Community College: CSC 142 is a transfer course for UW's CSE 142. CSC 110 is an introduction to programming in Visual Basic. iD Tech Camps offer a wide variety of Tech and STEM-related camps DigiGirlz High Tech Camp : a Microsoft camp for middle and high school girls.
